We’ll bill your patient’s insurance directly. If there are any remaining costs, we’ll communicate those to the patient. JHHC will handle all billing, payments, insurance verification, prior authorizations, appointment scheduling, and other administrative tasks related to your patient’s wound care.

Treatment time depends on the severity of the wound being treated. Usually, the first treatment visit is the longest and subsequent visits will become shorter as the wound healing progresses. The patient also plays a vital role in healing success by following the advice of the wound specialist to care for the wound between visits

Yes. We accept Medicare patients currently. We are in the process of applying to be accepted by most commercial insurance plans. Before treatment begins, we will verify insurance coverage.

Please submit the patient referral form, along with copies of the front and back of their primary (and secondary, if applicable) insurance card(s). If completed, please also include the chronic wound checklist and any additional relevant information about the wound, such as location, size, history, and other pertinent details.

If you qualify for wound care at a clinic, you’re generally eligible for in-home care. However, some insurance plans may have specific criteria for covering mobile wound care. We’ll be happy to discuss your individual situation in more detail.

Every chronic wound is unique. However, we generally define a chronic wound as one that hasn’t fully healed despite at least 3 months of treatment. The severity of chronic wounds can vary, considering factors like pain, discharge, size, and other characteristics. Our wound specialist will assess your specific needs to develop a tailored treatment plan.

If you’ve previously consulted a doctor or received treatment at a wound clinic for this wound, please let us know. Your medical history can help us develop an effective treatment plan and may be necessary for insurance coverage.

You’ll receive the same high-quality wound care you’d expect at a clinic, with one exception: we don’t offer hyperbaric wound treatment.

Yes. We will develop a treatment plan that works best for the patient and provider.

We can, if necessary. The wound care specialist will discuss a treatment plan with each patient. If a visit happens to fall on a holiday or weekend, then the patient and wound care specialist can discuss and modify the treatment date

No – Currently we are a 100% mobile wound care clinic.

We are licensed and credentialed to practice mobile wound care in Indiana and Kentucky. Our wound care specialist has over 20 years of experience treating patients.
